The silk road! Who has not heard of it? Via this trade route the silk coveted by the rich and powerful societies came to Europe. It was celebrated as a novelty, however in the Chinese area, silk has already be known for a long long time.

It was about 3000 BC that silk was mentioned in some historical notes. In fact this fine fibre is surrounded by adventurous tales of murder and intrigue, desire and betrayal. The production of silk was a sword and rope-guarded secret and even today only a few companies are able to let silk dreams come true, like Sichou.
